The England cricket team got off to a flying start; avenging their defeats against the West Indies in the first Test of a two-match series. England’s preparations for the first npower Test match at Lord’s were hampered by the late arrival of players from the controversial IPL. Despite the set back, the England team including Test rookies, Tim Bresnan and Graham Onions, beat the West Indies with confident performances throughout.

Nadal maintains his fine form while Murray reaches third in the world
Rafael Nadal continued his dominance on clay, claiming the Monte Carlo and Rome Masters, with victories in both finals over Novak Djokovic. Djokovic had to retain his Rome Masters title to secure his position of World Number 3 but the defeat has seen our very own Andy Murray overtake the young Serb. Andy Murray becomes the first ever British player to claim the No. 3 spot in the ATP rankings.
