First Youth Work Modern Apprenticeships to be awarded at conference
The first Modern Apprenticeships in Youth Work in Scotland have been awarded by Lifelong Learning UK. Three students from Adam Smith College, Fife, have successfully attained the qualification.
Janet Davidson from Adam Smith College will speak on behalf of the college and one of the students Lee Taylor will present on behalf of fellow students Craig Mitchell and Margaret Welsh. All three will receive their certificates at the LLUK Annual Conference in Edinburgh on December 13th. Full story |

| Opportunity to hear Maureen Watt MSP
Delegates have an excellent opportunity to hear Maureen Watt MSP, Minister for Schools and Skills, Scottish Government, at the conference. Watt is a Scottish National Party member for North East Scotland. She entered Parliament in April 2006 and became the first MSP to take the oath in Doric as well as English. Previous employment includes school and college teaching and human resources in the oil industry.
